Poplar Bluff, Mo. – Seventeen Missouri Conservation agents worked alongside emergency personnel to assist in flood evacuations and rescue work Tuesday in Butler, Bollinger, Mississippi, Stoddard, Wayne and Ripley counties. The use of Missouri Conservation Department (MDC) boats has been one of the greatest assets the MDC could offer throughout the flood relief efforts according to Conservation Agent Eric Heuring.

CAPE GIRARDEAU Mo – The Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center is partnering with the Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department’s Park Day for the 5th annual “Bashin’ Trash” on Saturday, April 16, from 8 a.m. until noon.

Trash will be collected from Cape LaCroix Creek between Shawnee Sports Complex and Route W. Volunteers will meet at the 4-H Shelter in Arena Park at 8 a.m. to receive their area assignments. Trash bags, gloves, refreshments and t-shirts will be provided. Call (573)290-5218 to register your family or organization to help bash trash.
