KIRKWOOD, Mo.—Nature has always been a source of inspiration and creativity.  The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is giving you the chance to harness your own talents and creativity in celebration of the great outdoors.

For the first time, MDC’s Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center in Kirkwood will present the Nature’s Got Talent: Variety Show—an evening of celebrating nature while watching Missourians showcase their amazing talent.  The performance date is Friday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m.  The show is open to anyone who has a talent related to nature and the great outdoors.

The nature center is holding auditions to select performers for the show on Saturday, Aug 11 from 9 a.m.–3 p.m.  Auditions during this time will be held on a first come, first served basis.

Prospective performers are invited to share their songs, animal calls, jokes, dancing, poetry reading, magic tricks, music performances and more for the variety show. Performances must be under five minutes and related in some way to nature in Missouri.

Selected performers must also attend a rehearsal Friday, Sept. 21 at 6 p.m.  The show will be held on the Powder Valley stage in the nature center’s 250-seat auditorium.  Facilities include a sound system and large screen for displaying images.  Performers should plan on bringing any props, costumes, or other items specific to their performances with them.

Participation in the show is free, but performers need to register online in advance for an audition slot by going to https://tinyurl.com/ychgeb58.

Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center is located at 11715 Cragwold Road, near the intersection of I44 and I-270.
