CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservaion's (MDC) Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center invites the public to view live feedings of the Center’s resident reptiles, amphibians, and fish on Thursday, March 20, from 1 to 3 p.m.
“A lot of people ask us what the feeding routine is for our resident animal educators,” said Nature Center Manager Sara Turner. “Watching how the animals eat can help people understand what they need in their natural habitat and gain a better understanding of the different animal species.”
Turner said the resident reptiles, amphibians, and fish are fed a smorgasbord of crickets, worms, minnows, and more. The feeding routine is maintained by the Center’s dedicated volunteers and staff.
