JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) welcomes people who want to learn more about outdoor photography to a FREE program at Runge Conservation Nature Center.

Join award-winning nature photographer Matt Miles for a “Behind the Lens” presentation. Miles has hiked, kayaked, backpacked, snorkeled, and explored virtually every county in Missouri to photograph wild animals and places for more than twenty years.

Miles will describe many of the remarkable wildlife and nature photographs featured in his new book, Missouri, Wild and Wonderful, as well has his artistic process and techniques. An opportunity to purchase signed book copies will follow the presentation.

The program will take place 7-8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, at the MDC Runge Nature Center, 330 Commerce Drive in Jefferson City.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information about Miles’ presentation, please contact the nature center at (573) 526-5544.
