Warrensburg, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will close the shooting range at the Ralph and Martha Perry Memorial Conservation Area Feb. 25-26 for maintenance work and timber inventory.

MDC forestry staff will be conducting a timber inventory downrange of the shooting area on those days. The closing will ensure safety for staff. During the closure, staff will also perform some basic maintenance on the range such as reshaping target holders.

MDC offers both staffed and unstaffed shooting ranges throughout the state. For information about unstaffed ranges, including those in western Missouri, visit on.mo.gov/1QnsGA0. Information on staffed ranges, such as Parma Woods Shooting Range in Platte County or Lake City Shooting Range in Buckner, is available at on.mo.gov/1oNsCx8.
