SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will hold a tree pest clinic on June 17 at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center to provide information to area homeowners about tree problems they may be experiencing. The free event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. People should bring branches of diseased trees in for an MDC forester to diagnose. People are advised to bring branches at least 12 inches in length. Looking at a single leaf or blossom would very likely shed little light on the problem. The information contained in a larger branch would give a forester a better chance of determining the problem. Another option is to bring a photograph of the tree problem for a forester to diagnose.

No registration is required. People can come and go at any time during the event.

MDC's Springfield Conservation Nature Center is located at 4601 South Nature Center Way in Springfield. For more information, call 417-888-4237.
