MDC holding landowner workshop at Powder Valley April 9

ST. LOUIS MO - For landowners seeking to improve their property for trees, wildlife and fish, the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will present a free landowner workshop on Saturday, April 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the MDC Powder Valley Nature Center, 11715 Cragwold Road in Kirkwood.

The workshop will focus on land management techniques to help landowners achieve their land use objectives in ways that will also enhance Missouri’s natural resources. Workshop sessions will include key topics on fish, forest and wildlife management.

Participants may choose separate morning and afternoon sessions conducted by MDC experts from a selection that includes managing timber for wildlife and trees, quality deer management, pond management, prescribed burn training, and other topics.

The workshop is free and open to all Missouri landowners. Lunch and helpful publications to take home will be provided. Seating is limited. Registration is required by calling 636-441-4554.
