MDC invites public to Springfield Nature Center archery clinic

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – An increasing number of people are becoming interested in archery. Some people are taking up archery for hunting purposes while others enjoy recreational target shooting.

People can learn more about the fundamentals of archery at a Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) archery program scheduled for 10-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-3 p.m. March 15 at MDC’s Springfield Conservation Nature Center. This free program is for ages 10-adult. Topics covered will include safety, bow anatomy, and shooting technique. Participants will also have opportunities to test their skills on targets set up at the Nature Center’s outdoor classroom. Archery equipment will be provided.
