MDC invites public to Springfield Nature Center event on March 20 that blends music with a love of the outdoors

UPDATE: MDC HAS CANCELLED THIS PROGRAM/EVENT TO HELP PROTECT THE PUBLIC AMID ONGOING CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) CONCERNS.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – On March 20, people can enjoy a free program that will help them get in tune with the outdoors.

On that date, performing artist Lloyd Grotjan will combine more than 40 years of his work as a musician and nature photographer in the program “Nature Art: Part of the Circle” at the Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Springfield Conservation Nature Center. This free program, which is for ages 12-adult, will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Grottjan will perform music from his albums “Song of the Ozark Plateau” and “Twelve Moons.” Grottjan will perform live while immersed in dissolving color images, providing the audience with a feast of sound, sight, color, and emotion.
