MDC offers free kids outdoor skills day camp in Columbia this June

COLUMBIA, Mo.— The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) invites kids ages 10-years and older to register for a free outdoor skills day camp in Columbia this June. This three-day educational series will focus on popular outdoor skills to help kids get outside and discover nature in a safe and supportive learning environment. Each day will focus on a different topic, and participants are encouraged to register for any or all of the sessions.

Day 1: Archery
June 7, 9 a.m. – noon, at the American Legion Archery Range, 3369 Legion Lane in Columbia

Day 2: Fishing
June 14, 9 a.m. – noon, at A. Perry Phillips Park, 5050 Bristol Lake Parkway in Columbia

MDC offers these events at no cost to participants, and all equipment will be provided. Participants must be accompanied by an adult, and are encouraged to bring sunscreen and plenty to drink for hydration.
