Kansas City, Mo. – A HOWLoween treat is being offered by the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) at the Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, 4750 Troost Ave. This all-ages special event is free and no registration is required.
Live owls will be on display by volunteers from Operation Wildlife. Visitors will take a wild side walk to meet along the outdoor garden trails some of Missouri's creepy crawlies. But fear not, discovering nature is not scary even at night as MDC staff guides explorers at stations such as track or treat, the bone yard, and the not-so-scary prairie maze.
Plus live music will be offered at the evening campfire. A HOWLing good time is expected.
