JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) invites the public to learn about MDC’s newest publication, “Strange but True” at Runge Nature Center in Jefferson City on Oct. 15.
This free event will run from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. and hosts a variety of different activities for participants to enjoy. Mark Raithel and Matt Seek, the author and illustrator for this new guide, will attend this event to answer questions about their work. There will also be the opportunity for participants to try their hand at illustrations, and a few of those “strange” creatures will be present.
“Strange but True” is a compilation of some of nature’s strangest facts. Not only does this publication provide interesting facts, but it is also full of enticing illustrations to keep all ages entertained.
