WILDWOOD, Mo.—As a homeowner, do you find yourself rattled by woodpeckers? Startled by snakes perhaps? Or maybe you just don’t dig moles as much as they dig your yard. Most people love living around wildlife. But people and critters can clash. Sometimes wildlife can be a nuisance or damage property. Fortunately, there are ways to reduce these problems.

The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is presenting a free program designed to offer homeowners practical ways for managing issues with nuisance wildlife.

Co-existing with our ‘Pesky’ Wildlife” will be held this Friday, May 24 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Rockwoods Reservation in Wildwood. The program will look at different types of wildlife that can create common issues around homes and gardens. It will offer practical solutions on how to coexist with these animals. If you’re finding raccoons rummaging at your garbage cans or rabbits rampant in your garden, you’ll get some ideas on how to keep wildlife out of places you don’t want them to be.

Co-existing with our ‘Pesky’ Wildlife” is a free program for adults, but advanced online registration is required at http://bit.ly/2LKlRwn.

Rockwoods Reservation is located off Highway 109 in Wildwood, at 2751 Glencoe Road.
