Turkey patterning/range estimation workshop at Atlanta CA March 26

MACON Mo – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will offer a free workshop for turkey hunters on patterning shotguns and improving range-estimation skills in preparation for the upcoming spring turkey season. The workshop will be held on Saturday, March 26, 9 a.m. – noon at the MDC’s Atlanta Conservation Area rifle range in Macon County.

Participants should bring their hunting shotgun, choke tubes if applicable, ammunition they wish to pattern, eye and ear protection, and a stool or chair. Pattern boards, targets and samples of non-toxic turkey ammunition will be provided.

Participation is limited and registration is required by calling Jeff Cockerham at 573-882-8388, ext. 230, or emailing jeff.cockerham@mdc.mo.gov.
